The Lead must -
Supply all necessary refreshments to the rest of the team
Tell the skip at least once each end what a good curler he is
Clean the skip's stones before he plays
Look after the carrying of all brooms
The Second must never forget to -
Perform any of the lead's duties that he has neglected
Harass the opposing skip by asking senseless questions when he is about to play
Drop at least one hair or bristle prior to each member of the opposition playing
Let the skip know he is proud to be included in the team
The Third must never forget to -
Make sure refreshments are purchased by the lead
Supply transportation to and from the rink
Cheerfully lend money to the lead and second if they run out
See that the lead and second do not get together to say derogatory things about the skip
The Skip always -
Takes full credit for all games won
Distributes the blame fairly between second and third for all games lost
Walks up and down the ice trying to look intelligent
Expects to be recognised and suitably entertained as a skip for the rest of his life
